World map

Map badge

Embeddable travel map for your website.

Add a free embeddable travel map to your website: your visited countries, states or regions, your count and your name, linking back to the full map. Use it on a travel journal, portfolio, about page or anywhere else you publish. The map zooms to the places you've visited, with the rest of the map for context. No account, no signup, no tracking cookies.

Image file

Upload the downloaded file to your site, then use the image code with your file name. The iframe version needs no upload, but its snippet is tied to the map it was generated from.

Some platforms — including Medium, Substack and most email builders — strip iframes. If yours does, use the downloadable image version instead.

The badge is generated from the part of your link after #. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Make a map first if you need one.

Visited map widget

How to add a visited map to your website

Worldtally turns the places you've been into a small, clickable travel map widget. The same builder works with the world map and every regional tracker, so it can show countries, US states, UK counties, Canadian provinces, Japanese prefectures or any of the other maps.

  • 33maps supported
  • 3badge sizes
  • 2themes
  • 0accounts needed
  1. Make your map. Tick the countries, states or regions you've visited on Worldtally. Your map is saved in the link.
  2. Paste the link above. The builder detects the map type and previews the badge. You can also choose a map from the picker.
  3. Choose the look. Pick a size, theme, map focus and the name shown on the badge.
  4. Copy or download. Copy the iframe snippet into an HTML or embed block, or upload the SVG/PNG and use the image code.

The iframe needs no file upload. The image version works on platforms that strip iframes. Either way, the badge is a snapshot of the map link you used; if your map changes, regenerate and replace it.

World map or regional tracker

The same badge works across the site. Popular choices:

  • Canada — 10 provinces and 3 territories.
  • Australia — 8 states and territories.
  • Ireland — the 26 counties of the Republic.
  • Japan — all 47 prefectures.
  • France — 96 metropolitan departments.

There are 32 regional trackers in total. See the full list or compare two maps.

Travel journals, portfolios, about pages, photo essays, digital nomad sites, planning pages and anywhere else you want a visual record of where you've been. It is deliberately small: a map, a count and a link back to the full interactive map.
